Booking Policies
The short version: plan well, take care of the space and let us know if something changes.
This page covers the main things to know before booking. Your booking confirmation includes the full rental agreement.
Booking the studio
All studio rentals are booked through our online calendar. Your rental is confirmed once you complete checkout and receive a confirmation email.
The studio is available by reservation only. Please do not arrive early or enter the studio outside your booked time.
Cancellations and rescheduling
All studio rentals are nonrefundable.
If you need to move your rental, contact us as soon as possible. We are happy to transfer your booking to another available time within the same calendar month.
SIX WEST STUDIO is a natural-light studio. If weather significantly changes the light in the space—such as a dark, stormy day that makes it unsuitable for your planned session—we will gladly help you reschedule within that same month, based on availability.
Setup and takedown
One-hour rentals include 60 minutes of shooting time, plus a complimentary 15 minutes for setup and 15 minutes for takedown.
For rentals of two hours or more, setup and takedown must happen within your reserved time.
Please return furniture, equipment and props to their original locations before you leave. Take all personal items, trash and materials with you.
Using the space
Your rental is private unless you have arranged for assistance in advance. You are responsible for your clients, guests and anyone you bring into the studio.
Please treat the studio, furnishings and equipment with care. Let us know right away if something is damaged, missing or not working as expected. Renters are responsible for damage caused during their rental.
The studio is intended for photography and creative work. Parties are not permitted.
If you are planning a larger setup, bringing in substantial props or hosting your own styled shoot, contact us before booking so we can make sure the space is a good fit.
Seamless paper and studio tools
Use the studio tools, furniture and equipment included with your rental as needed. We ask that you use everything thoughtfully and return it when you are finished.
Dedicated rolls of seamless paper are available for floor use. Please use those rolls rather than pulling paper from the main backdrop system.
Normal paper use is included. If a roll is damaged beyond normal use, a replacement charge may apply.
Arriving at the studio
SIX WEST STUDIO is upstairs in a historic building in Downtown Leesburg. The studio is accessed by stairs; there is not an elevator.
For parking, the ramp across the street offers two free hours, then is $1 per hour after that. Parking there is free on weekends. The paid lot beside the building is useful for quick loading and unloading.
