SIX WEST STUDIO is not here to decide what your photographs look like. It is a starting point: a light-filled, flexible studio in historic Downtown Leesburg where you can build what the client in front of your camera actually needs. Move the furniture. Change the paper. Use the white wall. Roll in Nova. Work with the window light. Clear the room and begin again. The studio has a point of view. Your work does not need to inherit it.
We did not build a permanent set that photographs the same way every time. We built a space that can move with the people, brands, families and ideas you photograph.
Two photographers should be able to walk into the same room, create completely different work and leave with photographs that still look like theirs.
That is the point.
Nova, the flexible bamboo wall, two rolling C-stands, two rolling bounce boards, gear carts and the Content Creator Station are all here to move with your setup—not dictate it.
A private dressing room, rolling makeup station, coffee, beverage and snack station, Wi-Fi and Alexa music help the studio feel considered for everyone in the room.
Use the large blank shooting wall, front and side window light, or the 107-inch three-roll seamless paper system. The room can stay open, or become the starting point for something entirely different.
Several times a year, we will turn the blank slate into a temporary themed set: an editorial concept, a mini set, an unexpected piece of furniture or an idea we simply wanted to see in the room.
These setups are available on specific dates, then they disappear.
Every client is different. Their photographs should be too. We will keep switching things up with temporary styled sets, new additions and fresh ideas so the studio stays flexible—and your work stays yours.
Between us, there are decades behind the camera, years of bringing real clients into real studios and a strong shared opinion about what makes a space worth renting. Carrie has photographed professionally for more than 30 years and spent nearly a decade running a studio in Downtown Leesburg. Jill brings the same practical, client-first experience from years of photographing families, motherhood and lifestyle work.
We have shot in spaces that looked great until you needed to move a chair. Or hang paper. Or give a client somewhere private to change. Or put your coffee down without balancing it on a windowsill like a tiny hostage situation.
So we built the room we wanted to walk into: open, light-filled and ready to move with the work. A place with good light, useful tools, a private dressing room and enough flexibility to make the studio feel like yours for the hours you are here.
SIX WEST STUDIO is not here to give every photographer the same look. It is a blank-slate studio designed around the photographer, the work and the client experience.
Bring the idea. We will take care of the room.
